The Gala Final and Awards Ceremony of Amy Design Award 2022
Launched in mid-November 2022, AMY GRUPO initiated the Amy Design Award 2022 competition under the theme “Designing the Perfect Space.”
The kick-off event took place at Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, gathering over 100 guests, including architects, professional interior designers, and students, alongside media partners such as Kien Truc Doi Song, Xay Dung, and HTV9. The competition generated widespread attention, reaching thousands of students, freelancers, and young interior designers nationwide.
As one of the most notable contests in the interior design industry, Amy Design Award 2022 offered a total prize value exceeding 200 million VND. This marked the first nationwide competition organized by AMY GRUPO, which is planned to become an annual event, contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s interior design sector.
The Gala Final and Awards Ceremony was honored by the presence of Mr. Tran Tuan Dai – Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Deputy General Director of AMY GRUPO, along with prominent experts in interior design and architecture, representatives from professional organizations and associations, and media agencies, highlighting the prestige, influence, and professionalism that the competition embodies.

With a clear roadmap and message, after more than three months and three weekly selection rounds, the competition successfully identified the 10 most outstanding projects, unanimously recognized by professionals in the design and architecture fields, to advance to the final round. The finalists skillfully and creatively integrated their design ideas and delivered highly convincing presentations before the Judging Panel.

According to the Judging Panel, the submitted projects demonstrated high quality and met the competition’s key criteria. The works were well-developed and refined, showcasing creative approaches aligned with modern architectural trends. They also highlighted new perspectives on functionality, while inheriting traditional values and integrating advanced technologies and innovative materials.

“With the desire to create a highly competitive season, the Organizing Committee ensured that all contestants across the country received equal support. Today, we are extremely pleased with the impressive results achieved by the Top 10 outstanding projects of the Amy Design Award 2022.
The competition has built a strong and lasting community that connects students and young designers with experts and businesses in the industry. This has created meaningful and professional platforms that help participants become more confident in their chosen careers and fields. We always emphasize the importance of human factors — possessing high-quality human resources will be the driving force for strong growth in Vietnam’s interior design industry.”

The First Prize was awarded to the project “Lucid Dream – The Magnificent Dreamland” by the Boxumi team, composed of graduates from Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, who are currently working as freelancers. The total prize value was 65 million VND.
The winning project made a strong impression on the judging panel not only for its creative concept, technical execution, and engaging presentation, but also for the team’s professional and inspiring delivery during the final presentation.

Ms. Bui Pham Quynh Trang – Director of AMY SAIGON and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee – shared:
“I believe this competition is a great opportunity for architects to present projects that tell meaningful stories and address real challenges to the public. It helps narrow the gap between practitioners and investors, fostering dialogue among architects, developers, and the community.
This year’s theme was open and quite challenging. As this was the first major competition jointly organized by AMY GRUPO and AMY SAIGON, the other judges and I were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the submissions — from the meticulous execution to the thoughtful design approaches. This is an encouraging sign for developing and maintaining the competition in future years.”
The Gala Final concluded a memorable award season with numerous impressive projects. The submitted works reflected cultural values, creativity, originality, and humanistic beauty, promoting civilized lifestyles, community respect, and environmental friendliness, while optimizing functionality and efficiency.
The AMY DESIGN AWARD stands as a meaningful initiative that contributes to fostering and enhancing the value of prosperous living spaces.
