“The magnificent dreamland” by the Boxumi team won First Prize at the Amy Design Award 2022

After three months of launching the competition “Designing the Perfect Interior Space” – Amy Design Award, the contest attracted a large number of designers, architects, and students majoring in interior design and architecture from across the country.

Surpassing all other projects, Lucid Dream – “The Magnificent Dreamland” by Boxumi Team, alumni of the Interior Design Department, Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, won First Prize in the competition.

“The Magnificent Dreamland” vividly reflects modern reality, where artificial intelligence increasingly influences human life and even has the potential to replace the creativity of artists and architects. The project raises a profound question: What will happen if artificial intelligence completely overshadows human creativity? Our right brain – the center of imagination and artistic thinking – would gradually wither away if we stop allowing ourselves to create.

Boxumi Team – alumni of Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture – won the “Designing the Perfect Interior Space” competition organized by Amy Grupo.

“Wherever there is creativity and creative activity, there lies the beauty of perfection” — that is the philosophy of the Boxumi Team. With a minimalist design approach and the use of neutral color tones harmoniously combined with premium interior materials from Amy Grupo, the team successfully highlighted and fulfilled the competition’s key criteria. The theme of dream and illusion, enhanced by artful lighting effects, perfectly captured and expressed the creative vision of the homeowner, a game designer.

Artistic visuals projected onto the ceiling create a sense of lightness and relaxation.

Therefore, the project received the highest score from the jury. Architect Tran Hoang Trung – Founder and Design Director of TD Studio – commented: From the way the problem was defined to how it was solved, the use of Amy Grupo’s tile materials was harmonious, turning the house into a wonderful dream. This is one of the ten projects that successfully blended creativity and practicality in a consistent and logical manner, following the guiding theme from the beginning.
